Khorfakkan sits on the east coast of the UAE, looking out over the Gulf of Oman — on the opposite side of the country from Dubai. The drive through the Hajar Mountains to get there is as much a part of the experience as the destination itself, winding through some of the most dramatic scenery in the region.
The route typically covers Shees Park, Rafisa Dam, Najaf Al Naqsar viewpoint, Rabi Tower, the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, a mountain waterfall stop, Khorfakkan Beach (one of the cleanest and least crowded on the UAE's east coast), Sohab Rest Area, and Khorfakkan City.
